Women's Health Initiative

HEART DISEASE in WOMEN*

The mission of the Women’s Health Initiative is to focus on critical health issues facing women today.  As such, the first educational initiative focuses on the leading cause of death among women in the US – heart disease.  The committee has gathered educational information from premier health organizations, including the CDC, American Heart Association, Mayo Clinic, and educational institutions. These articles will provide our membership and chapters with health and educational information to assist them in becoming more informed and aware health care consumers.  The Table of Contents below details the topics that are covered, including General Facts, Signs and Symptoms of Heart Disease, and the Journey After Diagnosis, to name a few.
