Helena Papadopoulos Johnson is an attorney based in Houston, Texas. She holds a B.A. in English from Rice University and a J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law. Licensed in Texas since 1990, she currently serves as Corporate Counsel for Delta Troy, Inc., where she manages legal matters related to real estate development, including land acquisition, construction, property management, and oversight of both in-house and outside counsel. Earlier in her career, she focused on federal criminal tax defense and appellate work.
Helena also serves as Director and Vice President of the C.N. and Maria Papadopoulos Charitable Foundation. She is a member of the Board of Trustees at Annunciation Orthodox School and serves on the Development Board of UT Health Houston. She is President of the Metropolis of Denver Philoptochos Society and serves on the Executive Committee of the National Philoptochos Society. Her past leadership roles include President of the Annunciation Cathedral Parish Council and President of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral Philoptochos Society. She has been a member of the Cathedral’s Festival Governing Board since 2009 and served as Festival Chair in 2012 and Co-Chair in 2016 for the Festival’s 50th anniversary.
Helena has served on the Boards of The Kinkaid School—where she was Governance Chair and Co-Chair—and the Joy Development School. Her long-standing involvement with The Kinkaid School also includes service on the Alumni Association Board and the Parents’ Association Board.
She has contributed to healthcare and science initiatives through advisory roles with Texas Children’s Hospital’s Pavilion for Women and Baylor College of Medicine’s Biology of Inflammation Center.
Helena and her husband, Thomas, have been married since 1998 and have two children.
