Vaping

The Vaping Committee is pleased to present at the 2020 National Philoptochos Virtual Convention a video presentation directed to middle and high school students and young adults in our Archdiocese and beyond, facts and information concerning the dangers and risks of the growing vaping culture prevalent in middle and high schools and colleges.

The video presentation was prepared with the intent of “peers reaching peers”.  There are four main components of the video:   

  1. Video interviews with a high school and a college level student(s) sharing their experiences with vaping regarding exposure, peer pressure, advice, etc.
  2. Experiences from other polled middle school, high school and college students’ experiences presented in graphics.
  3. Video component of medical expert Pulmonologist Dr. Kathrin Nicolacakis, MD, Cleveland Clinic, discussing medical risks, concerns and trends.
  4. Medical graphics.
